Yesterday key stage 2 participated in a workshop and team building session led by the charity show racism the red card. The children engaged in some wonderful discussions and thought about what racism is and the impact it has on people.
Today we all wore red to school as we took a stand and together want to show racism the red card.
Today the school is a sea of yellow as the children and staff have all put on their yellow outfits to support the young minds initiative #helloyellow.
We had an assembly to think about our feelings and emotions and linked this to the work we have been doing on the zones of regulation.
I also asked the children to think of yellow things that make them happy and they thought about: ice-cream, flowers and the sunshine.
Today the sun has been shining and they have all had an extra special playtime being kind to their friends.
Thank you for your kind donations.
Thank you to all of the families that donated food for our Harvest Festival.
The food that we collected have been taken to our local food bank to support families in our community.
