Hello Year 1,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It was so good to see so many of you accessing your online learning last week. Let’s see if this week we can all work together to complete our online learning this week. I sent out ‘Class Dojo’ invitations to your parents. They can log in and see how many Dojos you are getting for all of your amazing work!

Remember when you are completing 2Dos on Purple Mash, you can have as many goes as you need before handing it in. So if you only got a couple right on something, have another go!

To find the blogs go to Purple Mash and click on the green globe icon at the top that says sharing. When you click on that you will see a tab called Shared Blogs. Click on that and then you will see 3 blogs-one for English, one for Maths and one for Topic.

When you are in the blog, click on the green box with the + sign. This will give you a post to type into with title box, summary and content sections.

You can type answers into the content section or you can take a photo of your work and attach it using the icon that looks like a picture with a paper clip. I will then be able to see all of your wonderful learning. You can also ask me questions if you are unsure about any of your work. Remember to save!

This half term we will be learning about dreams and goals. Today I want you to have a think about how hard you have worked this year and everything that you have achieved so far in year 1. I would like you to then draw a picture of what you are proud of and then finish this sentence ‘I feel proud that I can….’, e.g. write my name, zip my coat up, be kind to my friends, read a book etc. You can then share your pictures with me on the year 1 topic blog on purple mash.

Please log in to Purple Mash and check your ‘To Dos’. Can you use 2paint to create a picture using the secondary colours? Can you remember how we make the secondary colours using only the primary colours? So if you mix yellow and red together it will make orange. What colour would you make if you mixed blue and red? What colour would you make if you mixed blue and yellow?

If you do not have access to purple mash can you draw a picture using just the secondary colours?
