Week Beginning 22nd February 2021

Tuesday 23rd February

Hello everyone! Just two more weeks to go until we can be back together learning at school again. I’m really looking forward to seeing lots of great learning this week. I’ll share some of it with you on Friday. On today’s Zoom, I’ll share some of your Monday Munch creations using bread and last week’s Top Thirty. See you at 11:30.

Make some time to do about 20 minutes of Lexia (teacher's email: lexia@holdbrook.herts.sch.uk).

This story has some really nice descriptions. Which are your favourite words or phrases?

Writing

We are going to begin a non-fiction unit about instructions today. It’s based on a book called ‘My Strong Mind’. I’m going to read out an example of an instruction text based on the book during our Zoom, so leave this lesson until this afternoon. If you get time, look for some other examples of instructions.

Wednesday 24th February

Good morning everyone! I saw some great English work yesterday, really impressive. Today though, I want to see more of everything. For some of you, it was a slow start to this half term, but we need to get back into the routine of daily learning and everyone needs to make sure that they are spending 3 – 4 hours focusing on that each day. Come on, Year 3 – you can do it!
